Bath time keeps me sane

Especially if these faces are looking up at me.

The Lime Lights

In Virginia we always signed Sadie up for the Tiny Tutu's class at the rec center. It was just for fun. When we got to Texas I was graciously informed about a ballet class which had a lot of girls from the ward participating as well. What a great way for her to meet and make some friends! Little did I know how intense it would get at the end.
Apparently football is REALLY big in Texas for the boys and ballet is equally as big for the girls. I saw a lot of stressed moms and couldn't get over all the fees attached to seeing my child perform for 2 minutes on stage. With class pictures, costume fees, tight fees, participation fees, along with the month's tuition I might as well have signed her up for private school that month. I'm starting to figure out how much money my parents spent on us four girls. My goodness!

It was really fun watching her perform and seeing her confident little tike shine on stage. I was so proud of her for not being scared and for doing her best to smile. This was her first performance on stage and we were very impressed with how natural she seemed.
I also love that she's the shortest one in her class. It makes her seem younger to me. With her entering kindergarten and Mom feeling all emotional and nostalgic, the shorter she seems, the better for me!

Moving Day #9

Nine moves in 6 years makes for a very tired Chase and a very frustrated Abby. When we landed in Austin we had no idea Cedar Park was so far from Chase's work. We also didn't know our back yard would have massive semi trucks rumbling to and fro all day long either. So we decided to move yet again. Are we too picky?
Of course the nausea decided to kick in about a week before the big day so I was RIDICULOUSLY sick and had to lay down in between packing each box. Chase hired a guy to help us move the big stuff thinking the Elders quorum would help out with the rest. Too bad only one guy showed up from our ward. LAME!! Especially after how often he helps people move.
The good news is once he got to our new house with the moving truck (dreading the very thought of unloading it himself the whole 20 mile drive) there were four guys there waiting for him from our new ward. Way to go Hill Country Ward. We are already really excited about this new area and thrilled to meet some new friends.
We do however miss our buddies up in Cedar Park. Sadie will especially miss her girl friends Addie and Emma. Moving is hard but she really should be used to it by now. I might as well be a military wife.
The hardest part about moving is figuring out what to do with the chiddlers. Some friends took turns watching Sadie while Jack napped which was really helpful. When Cyndi offered to watch the kids and bring me dinner that night I had to hold back tears because I was soooooo grateful especially because when I'm nauseated I NEVER want to cook anything. We ate WAY too much Chick Fil A and McDonalds.
So the kids watched a lot of movies and for the most part were pretty bored. After waiting for the cleaning lady and carpet cleaners to finish up, they were all tuckered out and collapsed in the car when it was all over. Hopefully this next house will be "the one" at least for the time being.

Cannon baby #3

Another little person is on it's way to our family in January around the 12th. We are very excited to meet him/her. The last month I have been feeling great but just this last week right around Jack's birthday the nausea kicked in.

This move to Circle C next week is going to be very interesting with me wanting to lay down every second. The hardest part is not wanting to eat anything and feel like I'm starving at the same time. It's also been quite a picnic taking care of Sadie and Jack when all I want to do is sleep all day.

I ordered some meals off an online company offering a huge sale and was so excited to have someone else make me dinner and decide for me what we will eat that night. When we called to claim our order they informed us that they had such a huge response to the Groupon that meals aren't available until September! Well what good is that for me now? I'll probably feel like cooking again in September. I need the meals NOW!! I always tell Chase that I would much rather have the relief society bring me meals during the first trimester of pregnancy rather than when the baby arrives. At least when they baby is out, the nausea comes out too. Hopefully this will just last the first trimester! The good news is I get to have another yummy baby for Christmas.
