Moving Day #9

Nine moves in 6 years makes for a very tired Chase and a very frustrated Abby. When we landed in Austin we had no idea Cedar Park was so far from Chase's work. We also didn't know our back yard would have massive semi trucks rumbling to and fro all day long either. So we decided to move yet again. Are we too picky?
Of course the nausea decided to kick in about a week before the big day so I was RIDICULOUSLY sick and had to lay down in between packing each box. Chase hired a guy to help us move the big stuff thinking the Elders quorum would help out with the rest. Too bad only one guy showed up from our ward. LAME!! Especially after how often he helps people move.
The good news is once he got to our new house with the moving truck (dreading the very thought of unloading it himself the whole 20 mile drive) there were four guys there waiting for him from our new ward. Way to go Hill Country Ward. We are already really excited about this new area and thrilled to meet some new friends.
We do however miss our buddies up in Cedar Park. Sadie will especially miss her girl friends Addie and Emma. Moving is hard but she really should be used to it by now. I might as well be a military wife.
The hardest part about moving is figuring out what to do with the chiddlers. Some friends took turns watching Sadie while Jack napped which was really helpful. When Cyndi offered to watch the kids and bring me dinner that night I had to hold back tears because I was soooooo grateful especially because when I'm nauseated I NEVER want to cook anything. We ate WAY too much Chick Fil A and McDonalds.
So the kids watched a lot of movies and for the most part were pretty bored. After waiting for the cleaning lady and carpet cleaners to finish up, they were all tuckered out and collapsed in the car when it was all over. Hopefully this next house will be "the one" at least for the time being.
