Three years later and we reunite again but this time in Driggs, Idaho. It's seemed the perfect location seeing most of our school breaks and summers were spent either at Kim's or Mo's cabin. Kim graciously offered her cabin and it was so fun being back where so many memories were made. We even found ourselves recycling some old sayings that were never very funny, but appropriate for the setting. "Teton Peeeoks!!" Jill wasn't able to join us this time and she was missed. No one laughs harder or better than Jill.
The drive up was equally as fun as being at the cabin. We found a beautiful meadow of yellow flowers and had to frolic. We also decided that because we are teenage friends, we'd act like teenagers again and take lots of "selfies" (a word that never existed when we were in high school).
I immediately fell in love with Leslie's mini van. Her swagger wagon has some serious swag!! My seat reclined and produced an ottoman for Pete's sake!! I'm still not ready to make the "mini-van plunge," but it sure is fun (and comfortable) being a passenger in one.
After dinner we immediately congregated into a bedroom so we could chat. Yes, the bed was too small for 5 mommies, but the laughter made up for any discomfort. I just love being with these girls!
The next morning after sleeping in until 10:00 (hooray!!) we headed up to the Tetons for a bike ride. Sara had previously done the "lift and ride" down with her family so we decided we would all be just as awesome.
Adrenaline was pumping and we felt super safe in our helmets and knee pads.
We failed to remember that Sara is WAY more athletic than the rest of us and coordinated too. We were disappointed to find that even though we looked totally professional in our gear, we didn't have super natural biking abilities. Getting down that mountain was hard!!
We found that staying on back trails was way better. There weren't as many rocks and the trails were less slick. The back country was also beautiful!!
We loved it so much we decided to the ride down twice. It was much easier the second time:-) Now we really feel like professionals.
The next day we went to Jenny Lake for a little hike and swim. The water was FREEZING. I have become a serious Texas wimp!
We got a little slap happy and I got in trouble for spreading the seeds after blowing on my giant dandelion.
